Project Overview
The ITF West structure at LAX is a multi-level economy parking facility that supports the airport’s growing demand for secure, long-term vehicle storage. Given the heavy vehicular traffic, the project required a durable and fast-curing traffic coating system to protect the deck and streamline the construction schedule.

The Challenge
As a high-traffic public structure, the system had to provide superior durability, chemical resistance and a fast return-to-service. The project’s size and exposure required a traffic coating system that could be applied quickly and uniformly while maintaining long-term performance under constant vehicle movement.
Project Requirements
- Fast-cure for accelerated timeline
- Slip-resistant and UV-stable topcoat
- Long-term wear resistance
Our Solution
Best Contracting Services installed over 600,000 square feet of the Poly-I-Gard® 575FC Traffic Deck System, which included Polyprime® 2180SC primer, PC-260 basecoat and Poly-I-Gard® 295 top coat. The system offers excellent adhesion, flexibility and a seamless, sand-broadcast finish for enhanced traction.
Results
The project was completed efficiently and on schedule, with minimal disruption to airport operations. The Poly-I-Gard® 575FC system provided the LAX parking structure with long-lasting protection and performance in a high-demand environment.
“The Poly-I-Gard® 575FC system helped us meet a tight timeline without sacrificing quality. Its fast cure time, durability and easy application made it the right choice for a project of this scale.”
